Chronic Pain

Everybody takes fully for granted that fact that they feel well all the time and do not apply a normal amount in that healthy ongoing process of dieting and exercising daily but when that specific pain will strike we sometimes feel like it is the end of the world. It is a normal reaction taking into account that we are not used to that specific sensation and that this will disrupt the normal functioning of the body that will send an alarm to the brain and leading to some panic attacks of what course of action should be taken to attain one of the goals, comfort or the feeling not in pain.

In more severe cases it is highly recommended that you will go to the doctor so that the cause of your pain will e found and properly treated so that you may have bed rest as soon as possible and regain straight in no time.

There are different types of pain the worse being chronic pain that can be catalogued as by far the most powerful and disruptive. It can be classified in some subtypes like:

  • general somatic pain, pain from the outer body
  • visceral pain, pain from the internal organs
  • bone pain
  • muscle spasms, muscle cramps
  • peripheral neuropathy, which will be pain that will arise in the nerves that lead from the head, face, trunk or extremities to the spinal cord.
  • Circulatory problems
  • Headaches

The World Health Organization has described three types of pain and in depending solely on what type you would have your decision to visit a doctor will be taken. There is mild pain that will be self limited and it most cases it will go away on its own.

The second stage would be moderate pain that will interfere with your normal function and you will not be able to ignore this type of pain, this being the stage that you are recommended to go to the doctor and the severe pain or chronic pain that will interfere with all daily functioning of that specific person.
