It has surely happened and probably not just once, to eat more than normally durinf holidays or other feasts.

It is not wise to abuse of foods high in fat and calories or sugar. There are, however, aliments you can feast from (approximately) over and over.

Carrots contain vitamins, minerals and fiber, ideal to maintain your health. Abuse of these vegetables causes carotenemia installation, the excess beta-carotene in the organism that causes yellow or orange pigmentation of the skin.

However, it is quite unlikely to get carotenemia: its appearance is determined only by a daily consumption of carrots for several months. In any case, it is important to remember that this coloration of the skin due carotenemia is reversible.


For most of us, coffee is a drink without which we cannot work properly. And, in general, even if you “abuse” and drink a few cups a day should not have problems because of it.

However, a true abuse of more than 600-900 mg of coffee daily is a serious risk for your health. These include insomnia, a state of anxiety, nausea, arrhythmia, muscular tremor, anxiety, headaches and, in case of an overdose, even cardiac arrest!

Tuna and Sushi

It is quite unlikely to abuse of sushi, but even so, it is important to keep in mind that too much tuna can hurt you, because its content of mercury.

Bluefin tuna, so loved, can accumulate throughout life as much as a large cup of mercury inside the muscles, as they consume many smaller fish. As a result, when you decide to eat sushi, do not do so more often than 2-3 times a week.


Basically, you can drink how much water you want. And yet, if you drink too much, you risk waking up with hyponatremia, which is lowering the level of salt from the body. Fortunately, this is highly unlikely .Hyponatremia is especially common in endurance athletes


As in the cases already mentioned, you can eat nutmeg normally without problems, but it is important to keep in mind that “abuse” can be translated by the appearance of hallucinations.

These unpleasant side effects usually occur at 3-8 hours after ingestion and express deep anxiety and fear. In extreme cases, you can even get intense hallucinations and a psychotic episode. However, even in large quantities, nutmeg side effects are only very rare.
